it is a nice amount of pods for what is about 20 square meters of tarp :D this way of growing would be pretty nice for people with limited space, but who want to try a bigger number of varieties. i should do a well written document of what i did, so it's all in one place. the usual theory that you need hundreds of gallons of soil for peppers definitely can be beaten.

woohooman, yeah we could arrange a trade if you want, there aren't that many seeds but enough to get going :) funny that a plant growing in 3 litre pot would produce such a huge pod, i thought they would reduce in size if anything. then again, maybe if it had space this pod would be the size of a banana? scary thought :D

oh, and that tall tomato in the back, that's a sungold growing in 15 l of pure pine mulch (not even bark) in a plain construction bag used for sand and stuff. that thing is over 3 m high and about 2 m wide,it's a monster,people come over and can't believe it's a single plant. had i pruned the suckers and twisted it on a rope i'm sure it would've reached the roof of the house :D
i got the idea from a member here who posted how he grew a single sungold every year and it got huge.
i am seriously considering for next year planting all my tomatoes in the garden first in these bags with cheap mulch, then putting them on the prepared ground and mulching around them. the roots have grown through the bag, but it acts as a cheapo air pot, and my soil in the garden is heavy clay. tomatoes do good in it but not this good. there would be no weeding, and i could set up nice irrigation to each bag,where very little water would be lost to surrounding soil. i'm seeing a lot of potential in this.

here's the mutant. i'm considering pruning it and then trying to overwinter it, never done that with a tomato, it would be a nice experiment
