Bulgarian Teardrop Pics

Capsicum Baccatum
Bulgarian Teardrop

Little pumpkin shaped peppers, about an inch or so in diameter. When ripe they have the color of a carrot, and look nice in spaghetti sauce. On the mild side for a baccatum, maybe 20 or 25k Scovilles. Ripe ones have a sweet complex flavor. Not my favorite baccatum, but serviceable in the kitchen and looks nice in the garden, even early in the season.

Thank you smokemaster2007 for the seeds. Thank you everyone who traded or gave me seeds.

Peruvian Orange is also a similar type pepper-lots of orange, pumpkin shaped pods, another heavy producer.
Both were pretty thick fleshed if I remember right.
Glad they grew well for you.

The flesh is pretty thick. There's no hollowness at all inside. It's all seeds and placenta, making it a bit more challenging to slice or de-seed.
