I had the same thing happen with seed from some extra large hot Jals I got from the grocer. I took the chance hoping they wouldn't be hybrids. Last season they were hot, this season they were not in the least and I used seed from the same saved batch(from one pod)as the year before(they had a nice flavor, though). I guess I'll be looking for some large, hot, OP seed over the winter.

I had the same results with Biker Billys last year. One of those hybrids that is not stable.

Yeah, very few hybrids will produce decent seeds. I also grew the Biker Billy this year from a plant I purchased at a local pepper farm. Great plant, very hot pods and really quite prolific. I will try the Ole' Jalapeno next season, I believe it's an heirloom. I was also thinking about growing the Mucho Nacho jalapeno, seems like a nice hot pepper (which is a hybrid).

I going to try a few seeds I harvested from my billy biker hybrid.
As long as it taste good, it's okay if it doesn't have any heat. I still
have some F1's from this year.
