Pretty sure it's a chinense, very good chance that it's a Hab, but like you said, too early to tell.

Bhut crosses are somewhat common on Ebay, so it can turn out to be something unusual.

Try to post some updated pics in a few weeks, it would be interesting to find out.

Will do. The skin is already getting bumpy. That pod is 2 days old and about the size of a nickel already. I got 8 plants out of the seeds in that pack. And all pods across the plants look the same.

Interesting, if all pods are the same then that rules out certain stages of hybrid.

I would wager it's a red habanero, ebay sellers seem to pawn those off as anything, hoping nobody will know better. And those that do know better are powerless to do anything about it.

It's most likely a hab, IMO, they grow "chambers" or "segments" like the one pictured, and ghosts do not.

In my defense Willard eBay was my only option this year. Didn't know this site existed and figured one online store is as good as another online store . I'm still buying seeds off eBay. Worst case situation I have surprises all year lol

Hey would someone post a pic of a 7 pot? Ive been scouring the net trying to figure out what these peppers are. And the pods look a lot like the 7 pot(pod?)
