Naga plant hanging in the garage for the past month...

I protected my Naga from an early killing-frost on Sept. 8, but the cooler fall weather and low sun and shorter days took their toll anyways, so I picked my then almost leafless plant on Sept. 25 (when frosts usually become a frequent risk here), and hung it upside down in the garage until today to see if that would help ripen up the peppers (unheated garage but temperature stayed above freezing in the garage). Looks to me like it definitely put colour in some of the partly-ripened peppers, but you be the judge.

Don,

i hang a bunch every year. between that and taking about a dozen potted plants in, i have fresh peppers till mid-feb. Some varietys i just let hang like that and dry on the plant.

Don, the pods on your plan had nice color to begin with. So there is no surprise there, I have some habs that have green pods. I will see what happens when I pull and hang those upside down. I think when a pod has reached a mature size, it will ripen without any help from the plant. I have watched 3 green Manzano ripen (turned perfect yellow) on the counter, in less than a week. So did half green Lemon Drops and Red Habs.

i have hung all different types. you will find atleast 80 percent of the green ones will change.
