| Here are some of my latest pickings from the conservatory. I find the Congo Trinidad is not any hotter than your typical habanero, but is sweet with a somewhat smokey flavor.
It is a good pepper and I am happy how prolific the plants are for producing pods. Some pods can get large too. Some pods I have picked recently are 2" in diameter almost resembling a bell in miniature. They are particularly good for making salsa that is very hot, but won't burn your mouth too much. Well, maybe a bit. Okay, they are damn hot, but what I mean is that they are not too much trouble for a seasoned chili head.

Beautiful pods. I have made some of the tastiest sauce ever(IMHO) with some smoked congos. Could not agree more about heat and flavor.

Put some in with your pumpkin candies for Hallowe'en. Submit tape to Tosh.0. [As much as I love South Park I hate that show. Channelus interruptus.]

great looking pods. I plan to grow these next summer.

Very interesting pepper and beautiful too. I am very interested in peppers with good flavour. I use almost all my peppers for sauces, and blending them produces different flavours . The addition of a smoky flavour would all an interesting element. Must try this one sometime.
