Here are some of my latest pickings from the conservatory. I find the Congo Trinidad is not any hotter than your typical habanero, but is sweet with a somewhat smokey flavor.
It is a good pepper and I am happy how prolific the plants are for producing pods.
Some pods can get large too. Some pods I have picked recently are 2" in diameter almost resembling a bell in miniature.
They are particularly good for making salsa that is very hot, but won't burn your mouth too much.
Well, maybe a bit.
Okay, they are damn hot, but what I mean is that they are not too much trouble for a seasoned chili head.
