I call BS on that one. If the red one was yellow, there would still be a better chance even with the tail, but the way it looks now, there is no way. They are just too different to be growing on the same plant. Maybe they were planted together and you assumed they were the same.

The yellow are probably from a Banana plant of some kind, as for the red one, I have no clue. For the right side, they look like some kind of red Jalapeno due to the cracking of that variety. Small and round could be final winter production or just a hybrid.

It's definitely possible there was a second plant in the pot where I picked the ones on the left. However, I couldn't tell there was. It may have been growing up so close to the other plant that they were intertwined, and deceived me into thinking it was one plant.

That's a very real possibility. I had a ton of flowers bagged on one of my plants, I was so happy that I had a bunch of fruit already setting... then I realized the ripe fruit was not white but orange... and it was bigger. I had two seedlings come up in the same pot and assuming they were both the same thing (I have since realized that the seeds I received were not true) I planted them together. I cut down the orange one, now I wish I hadn't as it was really pretty.

I agree, with Ronny, I think the yellow ones on the left are Hungarian Hot wax. Not sure about the ones on the right, I don't think they are jalapenos, they have tails. Those things are just weird looking... maybe a cross between a jal and a hot cherry?

A tail? You may be looking at the stems on those jalapenos. ;)

The red one on the left with the tail is the weird one. Scorpion like tail and smooth skinned.

Uncleflip, did you taste them? Hope you saved some seeds to grow too.
