Malagueta Pepper from Brazil/Africa

Will malagueta peppers from Brazil grow well in CT, New England during the summer months?

And if so, where can I purchase some peppers to experiment in the kitchen making some hot sauce?

I don't see why they wouldnt grow well during the summer months. Peppers are very hardy.
