I have volunteer catnip in my Bhut Jolokia pot. I took it out when I put the plant in bigger pot for summer. There is another little one in the pot, from a little piece of root left behind. Those petunias get around, I have one that stowed away with a daisy I planted. Your Black Cuban's colors work with that petunia.

Oh that catnip is invasive. I planted a plant years ago, still having volunteers popping up everywhere. It is as bad as petunias. Only thing I miss about it, the goldfinches really loved the seeds.

My garden is full of catnip! But I encourage it!
My old Hungarian Wax is currently engulfed in the stems of a catnip I pruned earlier this season. Made for a great pollinator attractant.

Pam, it looks as though that Cuban is the stowaway in the pot of petunias! :-D

Really? It just grows so big and takes over everything, it's worse than Zinnias.

You know, even if I had tried I couldn't have come up with something looking so good. My friend can take a bunch of plants and make art, give me some plants and it looks like a blind person stuck them together.

I grew a black pearl this year. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it? I have so many others I could keep. I have to decide soon. Here is this first year plant on 2014 09 02.
