Yeah, I can't go there anymore. I always spend way too much trying out new things that I end up not liking anyway. It helps I no longer live near one.

PS HEB owns CM.

Grocery Store Pepper Alert

Went to the original South Lamar store one time to buy diatomaceous earth. That's all I bought and never went back.

Heck, I even avoid the organic produce at HEB. Groceries are quite high enough as is thankyouverymuch.

My problem is compounded because I end up liking them!

As for CM produce and meat prices, they are actually quite reasonable. Wal-Mart will occasionally beat the prices (15â limes!) but not very often (and Wal-Mart produce isn't very fresh as a rule).

CM has the best cheese section in Dallas, so far. (If you know of a better, please inform.)

Go find a Fiesta Mart. They got stuff there that you've never even heard of. Produce is great. Fresh bunches of epazote, not those little bags HEB sells. Peppers out the wazoo too...

Central Market still has fresh BJs, this time from Netherlands, and dried Butch Ts - from Taiwan!
