Here's another one. I had seeds from the peppers themselves and some that were bought. Some of these don't seem to have the characteristic lumpy, bumpyness of the Bhuts. They didn't seem to have the heat either.

there is a smoother and rougher pheno of ghost.
If they are super hot and smell like ghosts they are probably ghosts.

l have a feeling Josh will be around to tell you they are not ghosts. he's the bhut expert. a couple kinda look like Dorsets, but i doubt they are since they don't have the heat you expected. Dorsets are about the same heat as a ghost. The BHUTMAN will show up before long. John

I say they are not Ghosts - although they could have Bhut parentage somewhere in there. I agree that a few of those have more of that stumpy smooth look of Nagas.

OKgrowin, the "Ghosts" in the image you linked are shaped like Nagas. If someone tells you that there is a "smooth pheno" for a Ghost, they're tryin' to sell you somethin'....or they, themselves, got scammed.

Bhut Jolokia, regardless of the specific color mutation, is a bumpy, rough-skinned pod that is elongated in shape, even if the pod itself is small.
