That little fellow? I wouldn't do much trimming at all. Maybe take down the height a bit and eliminate any redundancy (overlapping parallel branches) on the tall side.

Pruning is more of a Zen art to me. Find your center. Contemplate the plant as a whole and imagine the balance you could achieve by removing parts. Sometimes the hack will be dramatic, sometimes subtle.

2 questions:
Plant has yellowing leaves that are dropping. Just a factor of less sun and cooler temps? When to bring it in?

I say bring one for the cook at work. any time someone wants to challenge me, I go for the opportunity. I don't always win, but I'm a fairly competitive individual. that's just my take on the matter.

As plants get older, some leaves naturally yellow and drop. Whether it's a problem depends on the scale.

Your plant looks desperate for nutrients....or it's been overwatered and thus can't take up nutrients. When did you last fertilize, and how often, with what?

Could be yellow from the cold (if your nights are cold). Peppers can't take up nutrients when the root activity diminishes from cold/damp soils.
