I have a lot of respect for kung fu. I just don't like striking. I hate getting hit. you can slam me into the ground as much as you want, but punch me, and I get mad, which makes for bad training experiences.

Judo: thanks for the link. It was classic. They always take the bite, chew it up and for about 15 seconds they are very confident as the heat hasn't quite hit yet. They are thinking, ahhh, this isn't so bad, piece of cake. Then it hits and their whole facial expression changes on a dime. But she did a great job. I could tell she was hurting but she wasn't dancing around like someone standing on hot sand. Props to the young lady.

I bet she won't do that again lol. Really tough lady though!!! Both judo and Kung fu are fantastic martial arts all the props to both of you guys. However, since 90-95% of all fights end up on the ground it would be wise to have a plan once you get there (Brazilian jiu-jitsu + wrestling). Check out the early UFCs it was style vs style no rules. In general, they have ironed out what works and what doesn't, it's who can do it best now. I don't plan on getting into any fights though so it's about the discipline and love of the arts.
