I am very jealous of you starting peppers now. All of my plants froze last week. I am hoping to get some started in late Jan. I am already planning for next year.

Thats the cool thing about growing chiles in Florida. We may have 3or 4 mild frosts a year. I overwinter plants by putting them under an oak tree so frost doesnt hit them.

Hey Judo.....We start the hot peppers on Thanksgiving Day......

Tomatos on Christmas Day........by January we'll have a bunch of plants under lights........We HOPE for a March 1 "protected" plant-out

There is a moving light source on top under the rafters....two 350 watt equivalent CFL's and two "100" watt CFL's

and 4-32 watt four foot FL over the seed starting shelf...Mid-Jan 2013

I probably won't get to start mine until Jan unfortunately. Just found out I have to be out of my place by early-mid Jan so I don't want to start a bunch and then have to move them... at least I can make sure I find a place with a spare bedroom for my new seed starting room ;-)
