Johnny, that is not probably a cayenne.
Cayenne was one of the early producers for me. Additionally the pods are crooked and thinner and ripen to red.

My guess is that probably what you have is a cross, and a good one to keep.

Not really sure that is a cayenne either. It could be a hybrid, but I am just not sure.

There is one chili called Barbere Coffee Brown that looks simular and another called the Aji Panca that may qualify. Not sure these are it though.

Where did you get the seeds? Flower picture? How about the taste?

Whatever it is, I will agree with Seysonn. It is a keeper.

Based on research, I agree w/ the Peruvian Aji Panca (Brown) pepper. The stem structure a/ leave design/shape both mirror that of what I am currently growing. I plan on tasting today to see if it mirrors the descriptions that I have read.

I don't think its a Panca, but i:m not sure. where did you get it from? and what is it supposed to be? I grew the same pepper this year. It was sent to me labeled Chocolate Grenade.
