If I were doing it , I would trim the top by about 1/3 to rejuvenate new growth. Also, I would fertilize it. If you are getting a lot of rain, the nutrients can go down , even though the texture of soil appears to be good.

So, yes . I would say fertilize them lightly.

Ok, I will trim a bit. Do I just simply cut the current branches down a bit, like each one? Or is there another method?

What seysonn is saying is to cut the plants back by 1/3 to rejuvenate new growth like this:

If I was going to do the pruning :

1- I would trim everything lower than the main "V".(Growing at ground level)

2- I would count 3 nodes in all branching directions and trim an inch or so above the node ( or "V").

I consider this a moderate trimming not a drastic one, just to reduce the foliage down to size and a pleasant balanced shape.

Thanks Seysonn, I ended up trimming slightly more aggressive than this (before having seen your response) and I must say I am really happy as the growth has been phenomenal so far and I can't wait to see what this plant produces!

its in shock ... NOT HUNGRY ....

try to figure out how that equation might work ...

you might shock the roots ...

BTW.. i know nothing about peppers... this logic works for any plant ..

next time.. figure out how to shade it from all sun for a week or two .. to reduce shock ...

some peeps use giant golf umbrellas .... if that means anything to you ...

rig up a sheet on some stakes.. so its roots can settle in.. and start pumping water.. before ANY insult from the sun ... and odds are.. you will win ...

and then.. once its settled in.. lets think about juicing it.. for some new growth ...

look at NEasts pic above... the dormant buds have triggered ...

go look at yours... and see if you can see the immature buds down lower.. if so... think about reducing the canopy ... to trigger such.. and start shaping your plant for the future ...
