I am also TEST germinating some. But I don't think I can baby them till April 2014. we'll see.
Mine are Shishito(Jap/Kor) peppers. I germinated them on paper towel, then transfered them into 3.5" pots. So far they are doing fine, at ~ 1".
From the images on the net, the plants seem to be manageable in pots. That is what I am shooting for.

I'm hoping I'll be able to keep these healthy till plant out... I don't quite have the SoCal or southern Florida winters but I have really mild winters here on the MS gulf coast. We aren't supposed to see 40 till mid December. I may just be being eager but if the weather and the plants agree with my math I should be good to go :)

Haven't started on germination for anything yet. Trying to keep the ones alive still going through winter.

I've got quite a few seedlings popping up but as of today I'm most excited about my Choco scorp and brain strain (1/6 scorp ... 3/6 brain strain) thanks judo!!!

you're quite welcome. glad I could help. let me know what kind of germination rates you get, I'm quite curious how my seed saving method is working out (honestly there's nothing all that special about it but I still like to investigate my results).

My "test pot" growing of SHISHITO, after TWO weeks from sowing seeds, are showing TRUE leaves emerging. I am keeping a log on them as a gage to other peppers that I want to germinate later on.
