I don' t think it is possible to positively identify your pepper based on your description and the pictures.

More info can help:

--- what is the heat level? sweet, mild, hot, super hot?

Also, it is better to wait until some of the pots are fully ripen. You mentioned that one of the pods are turning yellow. That may or may not be the final color.

Agreed with Seyson, this one is a tough call.

Those might be "cool weather pods" which are often smaller and more mis-shaped than usual. It may be a while before we can nail down an ID for you, you may just have to post fresh pics in a couple of months.

As for fertilizing, when in doubt, use a weak formula and watch for progress such as: a growth spurt, greening of the leaves etc, then proceed from there.

I'm definitely no expert but at the very least I'd say it's a C. Chinese. That's about as much as you can narrow it down based on the info and picture.

I agree with sjetski that this is probably a mis-shapen pod due to the time of year or other environmental factors. I have had Hatch Chiles do the same thing to me before, where the pods were short, and more ruffled or deeper ribbed. This happened to me in cooler weather, like sjetski stated.

If you have not fertilized it before, or if it has been 3-4 weeks you can probably fertilize again.
