can't give you a difinitive answer, maybe no one can.

we are living where once stood radiata pines, some of this material ended up on our hugelkultur beds, we get lots of pine needles and cones as the blocks either side are still fully pine planted.

none of this appears to be affecting anything adversely the top soil in our beds came from on site, we use oodles of gypsum with a dash of dolomite(just in case)

when they slash the other properties (to minimise fire risk) we rake that grass and use it as mulch, it contains lots of needles and cones, no discernible issues.
