 o
Pseudotsuga menziezii

Hi,

I'm new on this forum; joined because I can't identify the problem my Pseudotsugas seem to have. I bought 2 young trees from 2 different gardeners, one in France and one in
Germany, and both seem to suffer from the same disease, though they are in 2 separate pots far from each other.
There are more and more whitish spots on the needles which have lost their natural gloss. It looks like a fungus of some sort to me, but I'm not an expert.
Can anybody help? What is it and what can I do?
Is this a frequent problem in Pseudotsuga, seen the coincidence?
Thanks!

RE: Pseudotsuga menziezii

Pseudotsuga menziesii, Douglas Fir, is not a plant that will easily tolerate the restricted confines of a pot, they need a very large area to grow or they have problems. The most common is the soil they grow in is too wet, ot the environment they are in is too warm.
Where are you trying to grow these?
