What is this bug?? (in our house)

We're finding them (dead) around a basement bedroom. Have not found a live one but have found 2 dead. Dont want them to be some sort of tick or other critter than can be harmful to people.

That's a portion of a dead spider. Not to worry.

Yup, a spider. A predator of the bad bugs.

Good to know, thanks! Thought it might be one, but it looked odd w the legs all broken off (fallen off?) like that. We wont worry then.
