bug id help please?

This bug is all over our house. :( Doesn't bite, to my knowledge. It is mostly by the walls near our windows. PLEASE help us. Bug "experts" here can't ID it for us. I want them gone if they are dangerous. Mail is really ok for help with this. Thank you.

Check out the images of carpet beetles to see if they might be a match.

My thought also, especially if a scant 1/4 inch with mottled colors tan, brown & black.

If so, likely they're eating fabric somewhere. time to start checking, possibly cleaning out, closets and more.
