I suspect that most, if not all, the folks who frequent this forum know nothing about growing mangoes in your area.

Do you have an agricultural authority in your region you could contact? Or perhaps a training school or university?

KiwiKing, the mango appears to be an intermittent import crop into the Syrian Arab Republic. (just around 600 tonnes in 2005 - the best year). I could find no record of domestic production of the crop.
The photograph seems to be of an abandoned shade house that may have been used in mango production. The plants are showing the combined effects of disease, drought and neglect.

Thanks Jean001a: since I am trying to introduce mangoes to this area, no one here knows anything about it. my climate is very similar to southern California. I am about 2km from the Mediterranean Sea.

Ronalan08. Good info, I know there is no domestic production :). You are not really helping by describing what you see. I am asking if someone knows what disease this is.
