Picture of one of the affected leaves on my Japanese long eggplant. If the picture is too dark I can take another one in a brighter area.

That does look like a fungus (or similar) infection.

If you can, isolate the plants ASAP. Get anything that looks infected away from the rest of your plants.

Also consider whether you are over watering.

Very difficult to see detail on either plant.

Even so, doubt it's fungus.

But isolating affected plants is always a good idea.

If better images aren't possible, suggest you secure the plant (if possible) or representative leaves in a clear container or bag, then take to knowledge person for 1st hand opinion. Large garden center or county's Extension Service office.

The drying out of the outer edges of the leaves tell me that its a bacterial infection maybe from water. I have had that same look to my plants leaves once and the plants literally died with no way to stop it. you can probably get some bacterial spray for it to stop it. Just from my experience that what it looks like to me. if you are getting water from outside somewhere like a rain barrel make sure you use about a half a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the water to get rid of the bad bacteria in the water.
