This is one of the blobs. It shows white because I sprayed lime sulfur as soon as I saw leaf distress. It's a gel-like consistency, not pitchy.
Any ideas?

Looks a lot like bacterial blight/canker. Common in stone fruits.

Where do you live?

Redding CA. Been rainy and mid 60s with occasional sunny 70s.
