| Over the past few days, I've noticed several little, reddish mites running wildly around on a calla lily, and I saw some very small, pale marks--kind of wavy parallel lines as if little ditches had been chiseled in the leaf. I also saw several more of these mites running around in pots containing still-dormant plants. These mites are fast movers. It's pretty hard to keep track of them. Is this the beginning of a spider mite infestation? I've never dealt with spider mites before, so I don't know... |

| Spider or perhaps other mites and leaf miners, from info provided and no pix. Impossible to guess if beginning of infestation from info provided. Dan |

Here is a link that might be useful: Spider Mites
|
| Spider mites are extremely tiny, barely visible with the naked eye, and they can't make tunnels. |
|
| Sounds more like one of the clover mites or other of the same ilk. |
