please help identify orange yellow egg mass in soil

Turning over soil today, twice I found small bright fluffy clumps of tiny eggs I can't find images anywhere on the web to compare. Closest image I found was a pom-pom on a fishing lure! I realize a picture is worth more than words, but I couldn't get a zoom in well enough so I appreciate any attempt to narrow down my identity search.

Details:

Color: orange yellow like a fried egg yolk

Size of entire mass: like a small grape but not shapped evenly as such

Character of mass: almost looks fluffy, eggs easily fall off mass, clumped but all parallel

Size of individual eggs: smaller and thinner than ladybug eggs (hard to see)

Conditions: Soil cool, moist and lively with earthworms, air cool 40's at night, 50-60 days. Found in areas I was digging up near grass, some dried leaves. Found white grubs, centipedes and milipedes too. Already seen slugs on wintered collards, but not many other visitors yet. Near where squash and cukes were last year.

Images of centipede eggs close, but seem more round than what I found.

Want to let them be if beneficial, but dispose if a veggie threat.

Any assitance appreciated thanks!
