My monstera deliciosa is one of several houseplants, so far the only one I've seen this on. There is one mature leaf, with about 5 juvenile leaves. On the part of the leaf that connects to the stem, there is this brown stuff. I don't know if it's scales or something that the monstera just does. I did notice though (& if you look closely, you can see) that on a few of the juvenile leaves, it is starting to do the same.

Someone help me out, is this some type of scales that Google didn't pop up any info about, or what?
