Might need more information on it. Is it a beetle? Does it have wings? An identifiable thorax? Is it 6-legged? 8?

I wonder if those aren't a type of scale. Not something I've seen here, if no one else seeing this knows, possibly take a sample in zip lock to your county extension agent, or your closest full service nursery (not a box store) for ID...

Hi All,

Thank you all for your replies. I took 2 more pictures this morning just so that I can help answer some of the questions but now I believe this is just growth on the tree! I tried removing it to see if it has wings or legs and it just peeled off and left white substance.

Please see the attached images and let me know your thoughts.

Wow, the links are exactly of what I have. I took it to the local nursery and they gave me the attached pesticides.

I was told to spray those today on all of the trees and then 2 more times in 3 week intervals.
