We put in a Cherokee Brave dogwood last spring. By mid July the lower leaves began to get brown spots, curl and turn brown but did not drop until much later. This continued up the tree until most of leaves turned brown and started to fall. I assumed it was anthracnose. We did not remove the tree and it came back with white bracts this year rather than the deep salmon color it started with last spring. What's going on?
