| Beetles? on my Swamp milkweed... does anyone recognize this Beetle/ bug? Trying to decide if it will harm the Monarch Cats or eggs. If not, it's welcome to stay. Sorry for the nature of the photo but it usually scurries away; only time I've seen it still long enough to photograph. The Beetle is about the size of the tip of a small finger. Mary |

| So sorry to take up your time. I should have tried a general google search before asking my question. This is indeed, a Swamp Milkweed beetle, Labidomera clivicollis and it doesn't feed on the eggs or cats of the Monarch Butterfly, just plant material of some varieties of milkweed. Mary |
