Leaves are starting to curl up on green beans

Posted by lilcee North FL (My Page) on

My green beans are growing really good - nice and bushy and have tons of blossoms on them. The last couple of days I've seen some leaves starting to go limp and curl up. Today I noticed more. Should I be concerned about losing my plants? What causes this? They also are turning a dark green - almost black.
Thank you

Plant leaves go limp and curl in response to a number of things. Too little soil moisture, too much soil moisture, some insect pests, some plant diseases. My first thought is to check soil moisture.

Thanks, It may be the hot, dry and windy weather we're having. We got a good rain yesterday and I noticed today they didn't look as bad.
