For that many different kinds of plants, I'd suggest slugs and/or caterpillars and/or, depending upon where you live, snails.

Pictures would be great, the damage would be visually different.

You can do your own sleuthing too though, put on a rain hat, go out after dark with a flashlight and look. If it's slugs, give them an individual spritz with 1 part household ammonia mixed with 3 parts water from a spray bottle, instantly dead and it won't hurt foliage.

Wear a glove and you can pick off weevils, crush.

Climbing cutworms are my caterpillar type foe here, I snip them in half with my oldest pruners.

I ventured outside and took a few pictures. They don't look as good after the heavy rain from last night but you can at least see. The first is the clematis flower, next is the stem (um, missing stems), next is the agastache leaf and last is the sedum leaves.

Certainly could be slugs. If you use the ammonia mixture a 10 part water 1 part ammonia is plenty to disintegrate slugs and will be safer for most plants. Some plants, brunnera 'Jack Frost' comes to mind, could be damaged even at a 10-1 ratio.

Someone else suggested cutworm damage?

I placed a pan of beer out there two nights ago and when I checked yesterday, it was full of slugs, so I'm pretty comfortable that's the problem. Now I knw how to treat it.
