| Hello. Last year, all of my black-eyed susans had small black & red bugs. The flowers did not fully develop and the leaves had many holes. I assume it was because of the bugs. Any suggestions so I can avoid the problem this year ? Also, last year all of my butterfly bushes had small brown beetles on the leaves. The plants flowered OK, but the leaves were shredded. Could the bugs do this, and if so, how can I control them ?
Thank you, Michael |

| Need to know who they are before we can suggest how to "control" them. That said, periodic strolls through the garden should help you detect them early on. If they show up again, please post images. |
