spots on Nepeta

Each year around this time I get small whitish spots on my catmint leaves, no signs of insect damage or leaf drop, but the plants do seem to weaken. I'm wondering if this is some nutritional deficiency or disease (virus?). Anyone else see this? I will try taking a picture and uploading it when I get home (am now trying to avoid getting back to work at my office...)

RE: spots on Nepeta

Just a guess with the info provided, but compare to four lined plant bug damage.
