What Beetle Is This?

I have some pop-up greenhouses, and this beetle particularly likes one of them. It flies, and makes me think it's a bee when I see it coming. Not particularly bothersome, and seems to simply like the walls and windows, not even the plants.

My pics are not great -- sorry -- but I think if you know what this is (it's probably something very common), it'll be clear enough. The bug is about 3/4" long, tan wings, orange/red head and legs.

Could be wrong, of course, but it looks like a "Soldier Beetle" to me. Soldier Beetles are related to the Firefly family, but they don't produce light.

I think that you are on the right track, Art. Soldier beetles and their larvae are considered beneficial. An improved image would help secure this ID.

I think that you are on the right track, Art. Soldier beetles and their larvae are considered beneficial. An improved image would help secure this ID.

Could be one of the Soldier Beetles.

yes thanks everyone I'd say it's a soldier beetle.I did think it was a lightning bug at first but I don't notice any lights from them. I got another picture I'll try to upload it.

I will add that I did see a lightning bug tonight, though. So now I'm thinking maybe these are lightning bugs which, from what I understand, are related to soldier beetles.... anyway, they are not lighting up my greenhouse, so maybe they're only there during the day.
