| Any ideas of what this may be? I have noticed a lot of them all of sudden and have not seen these before. They fly.
Thanks--Andy |

| Predatory wasp of some sort, perhaps an ichneumon. Dan |
|
| Doubt that. Is it possible to post a slightly larger image? |
|
| Sorry, but I can't figure out how to post a new or bigger picture to this thread |

| If not an ichneumon, then a braconid. Beneficial. Dan |
|
| I'm with Dan - it's a braconid (or maybe ichneumon). There are many, many similar looking braconids. They are your friend... unless you're an aphid or a caterpillar. If you do a google-images search on "braconid wasp" you can see the havoc they wreak on caterpillars. Positively gory! |

| Great. Thanks for the info. That is a relief. -Andy |
