If there are so many spiders there, it is because there is so much for them to eat. Thank your little webby friends for saving your garden.

(My favorites, actually, are the ones that hunt without using webs. Tiny tiny wolves!)

Brigite, your glut of spiders won't persist. Spiders have their own natural predators and I would suspect that the population in your yard will normalize after awhile.

I have a lot of spiders, too. I don't let them hang around in my outdoor living areas, though. Every so often, I do a sweep under patio furniture and doorways so that I can hang out or go outside without ending up with a spider or her webs all over me. Black widows are very common around here, another reason for the sweeps.
