A strange thing on my strawberry plants

Hi, I haven't been here in a long time. I have strawberry plants that came back after winter this year, and I have had some strawberries. There is something wierd about my strawberry plants though: My strawberry plants had previously had some foamy bubble-like stuff on them that I was told were eggs of some bug. I don't know if that was part of my problem or not. My (possible) problem is that there is something round growing on the stem of one of the strawberry plants. I'm not sure what it is, nor if it's causing any problem to my strawberry plants.

I will try to post an image to show you what my plant problem looked like. The round thing is my possible issue, and it's at the center of the image.

Sorry, but I can't tell from that image what you are asking us to look at.

As for the foamy bubble like stuff, most likely spittle bugs, and a few will be harmless. It's only when present in large numbers that they may cause some damage. Not eggs - 'spit' is protecting a nymph (sometimes 2, or 3). If you brush away the foam, you would find soft, little easy-to-squash 'bug' inside.

I'm sure that when Tammy looks at the picture she sent us that she will realize that nothing can be identified from that blurry image. Maybe we'll get a second shot at it!

Sorry for the bad quality. I wasn't sure if that was going to be too blurry or not. So with that said, I hope I can post another image (edited for better quality). It's the same thing, I just circled the "thing", or "possible problem" in red. If I am not able to post a second image here, I will post something like an updated post of this topic with a similar name for your reference. Thanks!
