Garlic sprays are known to repel Earwigs, if you don't mind your garden smelling like a pizza parlor.

When I lived in CA and had lots of them I would roll up wet pads of newspaper and put them around my plants. Each morning I would shake out the rolls and lots of earwigs would come out. I squish them and reroll the paper trap for the next night.

I had a huge problem with them last year and lost a lot of seedlings, they were everywhere. This year again they "were" everywhere so I used Bonide bug and slug killer (which also kills earwigs). Not long after the application it was evident the population was reduced quite a bit. I specifically bordered the plants they ate last year and so far NONE of my seedlings have been chewed. It's a bit pricy but up until now it's seems to be working.

Bonide bug and slug killer is supposed to contain Iron Phosphate and Spinosad. There most likely are less expensive products of both out there, but the Spinosad must be used with great care since it is higly toxic to bees.
