Earwigs, earwigs, everywhere

We have a lot. A LOT.

I don't mind so much (right now) when they chew on plants that can handle some damage, but the problem is when they eat all the leaves off my new seedlings and kill them.

I have my seedlings in cups, not in the ground, so I can't bury earwig traps. I'm also wondering if traps would just draw more to the plants the traps are near.

The best I've been able to come up with is floating my seedlings in the middle of a tray of water so that they're an island and nothing land bound can reach them.

This is a great way to collect mosquitoes though and also grants me very little room for my seedlings. I need a better idea.
