Perhaps not. That fungus (Tremuloides, or turkey tail) grows only on dead wood.

I saw that as a Stereum Jean (using Krieger), IME turkey tail has more color. But ID very hard without being there, as the key is whether a polypore or not. Turkey tail can grow occasionally on living hardwoods. All the bracket fungi found in the woods are seen as forest destroyers, esp in jean's part of the country.
