if the miners are inside the leaf.. of what use is a repellent ... or a topical spray???

I know that they are inside the leaf and I do not expect to kill the ones already inside. But will the spray prevent future leaf miners from laying eggs in my plants?

i suspected such.. just wanted to make sure you understood such ..

Well? Will it work?

Forgive my seeming ignorance, but I thought leaf miners ate the epidermal cells of the leaf and left the skeletal (internal) structure, not destroying the internal parts of the cells.
Please explain how leaf miners are internal.
