Worms killing my evergreen - help!

All,
I have a row of evergreens that are generally healthy. However, I have one tree that has somehow been overtaken by worms that are just now hatching. I didn't notice anything wrong with the tree until today, when it appeared to be brown and "moving". I've looked closely, and hundreds of little worms are hatching. I've attached a picture to help identify.
Questions - how do I get rid of these worms, how do I keep them from spreading, and will my tree recover?
