This spring, I installed one-inch chicken wire around the inside of my vegetable garden wood fence. Despite this, some creature started eating all of my pole beans, starting with cutting straight through the stems of the trailing leaves then chomping on the leaves. Also, It has ignored my lettuce but started eating the spinach.

The reason I am particular flabbergasted is after I noticed the damage to the pole bean, I laid netting over the bean plants, but they still got eaten! What the heck can eat these plants and still get through the small holes without getting tangled? The stems were 12" from the ground. No chance of deer, by the way.

They have now decimated my entire crop - HELP! So sad. I grow organically so am not interested in load of pesticides.
