Roses start to wilt and have black spots

Hi, I put roses in my south facing yard and it started to wilt. What's wrong with it and what should I do? Can I still save it? How so?

powdery mildew.. for starters ...

weed competition...

dry soil ... lack of mulch ..

and the wall is probably baking it.. if the wall is south facing ...

and it was.. if i need tell you.. a very hard winter .. especially for roses.. and for sure.. if you are really z3 ....

there is a very active .. in fact 3 ... active rose forums ... and i am sure.. they can get you on track ... they will probably want to know which rose it is.. if you know ...

i gave up on roses.. due to all the chems that are requisite to grow them to perfection ... there are some that are PM/disease resistant ... and i suggest you investigate such ...

ps: black spot is a rose disease.. but i dont see any leaves with black spots.. so i am a bit confused at your title ... i do see a winter damaged cane that is black.. but that isnt black spot ....
