We had a few wonderful thunderstorms today so I knew tonight would be prime slug hunting time. I put my trusty headlamp on and went out to stomp the little ones and cut the big ones in half with a shovel. I worked my yard in a grid pattern & overlapped some. What do I see? A slug that I had cut in half -- the front half was still trucking -- it was a good 2 feet away from the rest of its body. I will have nightmares tonight!!
