2nd and 3rd images are of a bee. Likely a native bee -- many of them are smaller than honey bees.

You were probably too close to the object.

My camera shows a "focusing frame"
-- if green, the image will be fine - barring any user shakiness ;)
-- if red, move back a little bit.
