Is it on the sunny side? Perhaps sunburn/heat damage?

The lesions are nice and dry and don't look nasty and I'd just take a watch and see position at this point. It's just fibrous and woody looking and does look like a little bit of environmental damage as opposed to disease. Some of my pepper stems end up looking a lot worse than that and never missed a lick.

Calliope, thank you for the opinion. This is my first time I have seen on my plants so I am very curious. The plant has not other problem.
