Hi, I tried to identify this tick online, but I couldn't really figure it out because it looks like a dog tick, but is more black than brown. My husband found it crawling on his arm this morning after showering and getting dressed. We think it may have survived a wash cycle in a pair of work pants that have been in a dresser drawer for a couple weeks undisturbed --he says he hasn't worked outdoors since the last time he wore them. We live in a fourth floor apartment in the middle of the city and can't figure out where else the tick might have come from. The only other possibility is the yard of a house we looked at the other day that was a bit overgrown and near woods. We have a cat that has always been an indoor cat and is on flea/tick drops, but the neighbor does have a dog. I would be grateful if anyone could help me out with identifying this bug! I want to know just in case there are more. I really hope it's the only one...Thanks!
