is any of it on such ...

often ... things happen in spring.. that dont show up.. until the heat hits... and the issue may be long gone...

if i saw that black.. i would think old honeydew ... meaning aphids.. but i dont see any .. perhaps they are gone ...

but again ... a few leaves.. pic them off and be done with it.. and observe to see if its increasing ...

then consider remedy ...

or.. in my case.. ignore it...

i see pots ... is this plant potted??? ... W is a rather aggressive plant for a pot ... it may have stressors that are making the plant prone to other problems.. a little more history might help ...

It is potted, alas. I live in an apartment so the best I can do is give it a really large one.

The plant was given to me less than 2 months ago. I put it in my south oriented balcony and it is growing swiftly using the cat's safety net as support.

The spots are on older and lower leaves only, I've seen it on 10-15 of them but I did not notice anything since last week.
I have seen a few brown aphids on new leaves, weeks ago. I simply squished them and now there appears to be none.

What kind of problems could arise from keeping it potted?
